How often should I have my trash cans cleaned?
WASH BINS offers monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, and one-time trash can cleaning options. For best results, we recommend monthly trash bin cleaning. If you own a restaurant that frequently handles raw meat, you should definitely have your dumpsters cleaned monthly to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and germs and to limit health inspection violations, liability, bad press and negative social media.
What is the process for cleaning the trash cans?
Your dirty trash cans are cleaned inside and out with 190° water, then sanitized and deodorized, leaving them looking and smelling fresh.
How long does the cleaning process take?
The trash bin cleaning process takes about 5 minutes per trash can.
Do I need to be home for the trash can cleaning service?

What steps do you take to sanitize the bins?
The bins are sanitized and deodorized after being cleaned with 190° hot water. The hot pressurized water is what sanitizes the bins and removes harmful bacteria, dirt, grease and grime.
How do you handle dirty water and waste from the cleaning process?
We reclaim all waste water used to clean trash bins, recycle bins, composting bins and green waste bins. Always wastewater is collected and disposed of properly instead of collected and recycled preventing it from entering storm drains.
Do you clean commercial dumpsters as well?
Yes, we clean commercial dumpsters. Our dumpster cleaning service cleans dumpsters, dumpster enclosures, and dumpster pads. It is highly recommended to clean dumpsters to remove harmful germs and harmful bacteria that could end up inside a business. Are there any preparations I need to make before my scheduled cleaning?
To make sure to get your bins cleaned in a timely manner, you should leave your dirty trash bin or dirty trash bins on the curb the day after trash pickup. Do not leave them behind a gate, in the garage or in the driveway or they may not be cleaned. WASH BINS will send a text and email reminder before your trash can cleaning scheduled service date.
Is there a contract required for recurring cleaning services?
You need only sign up for our trash can cleaning service and agree to our terms and conditions for our trash bin cleaning monthly service or other recurring trash can cleaning scheduled service.
Is there a difference between a trash bin and a trash can?
No. The the terms “trash cans”, “trash bins”, “garbage bins” and “garbage cans” are all the same and are used interchangeably.
